Welcome to the New Manitoba Pointing Dog Site!

  • March 07 - Added new recepies. Added photo for Directors page plus December pheasant trip

  • February 2007 - Updated Calander of events, MPDA News, Training. Added recipe section.
    Added upland bird photos: mitch's trip, Ken Emily's hunt, Late season pheasant Trip-Frank, Ron. And Chris, Kyle, Mitch, Fausto and Ken

  • May 2006 - Updated Events photo Gallery with pictures from  Warehouse Training & Barnesville Fun shoot.

  • April 2006 - Updated More Photo's directory with Photo's from Tom's Spring training.  Added new section called Photo of the Month, removed the Poster girl/Boy section of the website.  Event dates are now posted as well.

  • January 2006 - Added new photos from 2005 hunting season.  Tom Rempel and Brian Agland gave me enough photos for their own photo galleries!  Get your membership applications in if you have not done so already.

Our Mission

To provide a club for Bird Dog owners to meet, train and improve our dogs through training and FUN events. 

Club Profile

MPDA is made of a group of people who are passionate about our bird dogs!

Club members have dogs ranging from the "Specialist" Upland bird dogs such as  English Pointers and Setters to the continental (Versatile) type breeds such as the Brittany Spaniel, German Wirehair Pointer and my favorite the German Shorthaired Pointer. 

In Recent years our club has undergone some major revisions in terms of our aims and mission.  Our focus has been to reduce the administrative burdens of the club while focusing more on FUN and training events that give members a chance to get out with their 4 legged companions.

The Manitoba Pointing Dog has a rich history that dates back to 1968!  As I glean highlights of past events and photos from some our more senior members I will update our  Web site with a "History & Archive Section"
